Sharing A glimpse on how my professional journey started

 

I started working at an very early age....

 

Till completion of my 10th standard schooling Mumbai SSC, my parents took fantastic care of me, fulfilled all my educational needs, provided best of all the required resources. Really enjoyed my childhood and school days (Convent education at Kerala till 6th Standard before moving back to Mumbai for my 7th standard in 1989)

 

Close to year 1994-95 after my 10th standard in SIWS high School Wadala, Mumbai, During start of my Junior College my dad after serving for 17 years in the same company, was forced to take Voluntary Retirement from Service due to office politics and also our financial situations then warrantted  some lumsome amount.

 

Those days were pretty tough., We were earning class, ....,We had no other backing or any other financial support ...

 

My dad was in his late 40s and It was really hard for dad to get a job at that age providing similar kind pay package and facilities 

 

.We all four of us, dad, mom, elder bro, myself pitched in and tried various decent means to find job and earn enough in our individual capacities ....

 

Mumbai is a fantastic place ... Here Every one has lots of opportunities to earn his daily bread .... and depending on his/ her skills and capabilities you get the opportunity to earn even the butter as well ...

 

All you need is the smart work skills, honesty, sincerity, perseverance, Mumbai spirit and the Mumbaikar attitude... have them and no one can stop you

 

Dad joined a Marketing agency and used to promote portable Soda cold drink making machines and portable wheat flour making mixer grinders. Mom was working as administrator in a medical publication house and elder brother was into commerce stream and worked his way in accounts and audits

 

I was just out of 10th standard.... to make ends meet I started to sell Masalas, Chillies, Coriander, curry leaves outside Dombivli railway station east side after college in the evenings/ nights.and earn ₹40 per day.. 

 

After few days I joined the group of south Indian caterers who used wait outside the Dombivli railway station west side every evening hoping to get catering contract work in marriage functions or thread ceremony or other domestic household occasions ...

 

Prompt Vegetable skinning, dicing and cutting was one of my skills, my speciality ..

 

when ever these caterers gained some contract, they took me along with them...I would go to Marriage halls early morning 2 am - 3 am and start skinning, dicing, cutting pumpkins, elephant yams, Raw bananas, cabbages etc ...

 

They used to pay me 2 points .. one point during those days means ₹75 .... Total ₹150 per function .. After finishing early morning work with them, I would come home around 6 am, take bath and go to SIWS Junior College at Wadala .... Once a contract is completed They used to pay me after a week 

 

If the catering contract comes on weekends, Saturdays and Sundays I used stay back after early morning vegetables cutting work and serve breakfasts to the guests ...., then I would get 1 extra point, total 3 points .. ₹225 per function... 🙏🏻

 

During my 12th standard in same College, I used work evenings at Jain electronics traders Thane as counter sales person promoting IFB washing Machines ... I learnt computers during those times (wordstar, lotus 123 and FoxPro) from a colleague. I already had background of Programming Language called BASIC (learnt during my 5th standard in Bharat Mata Convent high school in Palkkad, Kerala)

 

Post my 12th standard in College, I joined Wagle Estate English school at Thane as a part time Contract computer teacher for 8,9,10th Students teaching wordstar, lotus 123, FoxPro, etc,. I was with a contract company(who had around 100 schools on contract). I worked for few years with them and become an Educational Coordinator authoring school text books on Basic computers for them...

 

I left that Job during my Third year for attending Full time college Graduation ( BSc. Physics and Electronics)

 

Post completion of my Graduation I started pursuing a career in Information Technology and Learning since past 20+ years and am working as Manager Software Engineering with Accenture

Personal life

 

My parents, My guidepost... During my growing up years My mom and Dad  provided all the required education (Convent till 6th Standard), knowledge, exposure, environment, entertainment and resources that every child required, even though they didn't have the financial means for it and without any family relatives support. They have sacrificed a lot, much beyond their capacity. For them every life decision was spanning around welfare of we brothers.

 

Now due to Age they are mobility fitness challenged. Mom is bedridden for past 4 years and dad is mobility restricted. It's my turn now. I personally not only support them, take care of their Cleaning, but also attempt to enable them to get maximum happiness out of the life by involving them in various activities and engagements.

 

I am not doing a great job, however am striving my best. I cook for them and simply love to stay with them, listening to their stories, experiences and spend time with them.

 

I also shoot YouTube videos of My Mom which she makes within confinement of her electric bed. She has made more than 90+ videos with almost 100 subscribers.

Friends. There are couple of them from every walk of life who are still connected with me via phone and whatsapp.

 

Relationship -> Am single/ Unmarried/ Not yet Committed / nor involved. There were Occasions/moments when 1 or 2 odd female friends were crazy for me. However, I have always stopped myself  and never get carried away emotionally as well as physically, (call me Orthodox or cultured), My Life priorities were different then.

 

I believe Emotional or Physical intimacy is best enjoyed ONLY with love and commitment involved.

 

Whenever there is any interaction I listen, attempt to understand their Communication, Psychology, read Body language (Kine-sics), their expression and  emotions and then comprehend

 

However, am yet meet that One Lady who would give that JOLT to my heart. Maybe I am not looking at right Locations yet.

I am a Mumbai based Palakkad Iyer guy 

 

Born in 1977 in a village callled Kalpathy, Palakkad district, Kerala, India (Search net to know more about Palakkad, Kerala).

 

Although My Parents (Shri. Mani Aiyer and Smt.Manjula Mani Aiyer) are from Mumbai since their Childhood days, I was brought up in Palakkad, Kerala till completion of my primary & Secondary Schooling (Convent). 

 

Came back to Mumbai in 1989 (No Place like Mumbai). Completed High schooling (same school where My Parents Studied), Majored in Physics in Graduation and did Post graduate in Business/Technology.

 

Along with my High school studies itself in Mumbai, I started my Career in IT. 

 

In between I went to Pune in 2012 and was working there for 5 years ( Pune is a Fantastic cool place).

 

I have also stayed in London near Greenwich (Deptford) for few months (Loved the experience)

Have Toured European countries like Germany, Belguim, France, Switzerland, NetherLands, visited places like Black Forest, Rhine river, Rhine falls, Eiffiel Tower, Keukenhof Garderns, Louvre Museum, Jungfrau Peak, Titlis, Interlaken, etc.

 

Still More Personal details

For me education is to help lead a knowledgeable & happy life along-with everyone connected with us.

 

Instead of assumptions/presumptions, my option always is open communication.

 

 

I always feel strongly about Indian economic, social, environmental, international equations, and do want to take steps to support them.

 

I am always proud of Indian culture and attitude since childhood.

 

I am happy with Indian government actions and growth since 2014

 

Though Modern, still I can always strongly sense logic in (& have experienced positive results of) various Palghat/Palakkad (Kerala) Iyer customs, traditions, pooja vithis & vedic practices.

 

Along with other things, I also love & am happy to indulge in South Indian festives like Ganesh Chaturthi, Avani avittam, Aadi Masam maav vilakku, Vishu, Pongal, etc.

 

Also I love to cook, serve to parents and self consume Pure Veg Brahmin Iyer traditional  food items

 

Especially Aavial, Kootu, Mazakku peratti, Kozha kattai, Molai kuttal, Rasam, Thaier Pachaddi, Oolan, Mango Rasa Kalan, Parikkai Sambar, anything Vegetarian with condiments Green Chillies, Coconut, Curd; and Ofcourse Bru Coffee

 

Though you may feel that I am deep thinker, a serious guy, know that, I equally am a, very very jovial person.

 

I simply love to watch comedies, crack jokes, sing songs & break in to some dance movements when happy. Spontaneous wits, reading between lines, humor sense, playing with words, smile & laugh are some of my assets. :).

 

I am multi-lingual, Watch OTT, online media (You Tube, Prime, Hotstar, Zee5, SunNxt) in 5 languaes (English, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Marathi) mainly Movies, Comedy Standups-shows, Crime web series, Science Documentries, News, etc.

Public Life

Though I have done bits and pieces like visiting Government Schools in Rural areas and conducting Motivational seminars for school children. 

 

I am yet to go far out of the way to serve humanity and to make my Public Social Life a success.

 

I have got very valid reasons for the delay but the fact remains that I am yet to serve humanity on a very large scale.

 

I am strong believer of Baghwan and I believe that he will guide me all the way.

 

My Mantras are:
